One afternoon, I was holding a conference call discussing the multiple effects of Climate Change in the world, discussing upcoming trends showing that more frequent an more intense storm events were expected as time progress. At the end of my call, I asked my son if he understood what causes Climate Change? and with a incredible clarity of mind he simply stated: "We burn fossil fluids and release carbon to the atmosphere. The carbon accumulates in the upper layers of the atmosphere functioning as a cap increasing the retention of kinetic energy on the atmosphere explaining why the climatic events are stronger and more frequent as the temperature on the planet rises". Wow! I exclaimed. It took him a minute and a half to explain it. I had just wasted hour and a half explaining the concept to a group of grown ups.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has".- Margaret Mead
